Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Lord, everything you give us is good.  Help us to nurture your gifts so that we may grow in faith and zeal.  Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

In addition to all-school liturgies, students in each grade will gather as a class this fall to celebrate Mass. School chaplain, Fr. Joe Kuharski, the parochial vicar at St. Stephen’s in Anoka, will celebrate each Mass at nearby Our Lady of Lourdes. Ninth graders will be the first to have a class Mass, which is TODAY. Students should put their belongings in their lockers after 1st hour and report to the Florance Center. The other class Masses are September 13 for 10th grade; September 27 for 11th grade, and October 4 for 12th grade.

Students, you will meet with your academic mentor after 1st period tomorrow. Please bring homework and other class materials to work on quietly during the meeting. Mentor meetings provide you with a chance to check in with your mentor about how you are doing in your classes so far this year.

Parents, please join us tomorrow (Sept. 7) from 6:00-8:45pm for Back-to-School Night to learn from teachers, mentors, and administrators of the academic expectations for each student this year. You will meet your child’s academic mentor and follow your child’s class schedule to learn about course goals, content, and assignments from your child’s teachers. For more information about the evening, click here.

The September driver’s education class, taught by Ray Kroll ’60, begins tonight – and there is still space if you are interested. The class goes from Sept. 6-9, 12-16, and 19 from 3:30-6:50pm. There is a mandatory parent meeting tonight from 7:00-8:30pm. Click here for a registration form. You may return it to the Administration Office. Classroom instruction costs $110 and behind-the-wheel instruction costs $330; students who register for both the class and behind-the-wheel instruction will pay $399.

Students taking the September ACT test have an opportunity to participate in a free one day review this week.  Students must visit the College Advising Office, B102, to sign up and get their full length practice test prior to the review class, which will be held on Thursday at 3:10pm in D117. The practice test must be completed and corrected prior to the review class:

The Lasallian Ministry staff would like to welcome everyone to our first gathering of the school year on Thursday, September 15 from 7:30-8:20am in room D104. We would like everyone to attend this meeting, even if you are already involved in Lasallian Ministry as we will be sharing information on several new opportunities, projects and programs being offered this year through Lasallian Ministry. If your bus drops you off at 8:10, you are still welcome to stop in at that time. If you cannot make the morning meeting but are still interested in participating, please stop by the Lasallian Ministry office for more information.
