Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

On this weekend, when we rest from our usual labors, loving Father, we pray for all who shoulder the tasks of human labor—in the marketplace, in factories and offices, in the professions, and in family living. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

There is no school on Monday as we observe the Labor Day holiday. Enjoy your 3-day weekend, Islanders!

In addition to all-school liturgies, students in each grade will gather as a class this fall to celebrate Mass. School chaplain, Fr. Joe Kuharski, the parochial vicar at St. Stephen’s in Anoka, will celebrate each Mass at nearby Our Lady of Lourdes. Ninth graders will be the first to have a class Mass, this Tuesday, September 6. Students should put their belongings in their lockers after 1st hour and report to the Florance Center. The other class Masses are September 13 for 10th grade; September 27 for 11th grade, and October 4 for 12th grade.

Students, you will meet with your academic mentor after 1st period on Wednesday. Please bring homework and other class materials to work on quietly during the meeting. Mentor meetings provide you with a chance to check in with your mentor about how you are doing in your classes so far this year.

Just a reminder that the Campus “Lasallian” Ministry office is located in the lower level of Christian Brothers’ Hall.  Don’t hesitate to venture outside the doors to Founder’s Park and come for a visit.  We have our own entrance to the building and welcome you any time.

Any 10th, 11th, or 12th grader who completed Christian Service Hours over the summer should record the hours as soon as possible. Validation forms may be obtained in the Campus Ministry office (Room H109) or by clicking here. If you are a transfer student and have questions please see Mr. “CJ”Hallman during your lunch period. 9th graders, Christian Service information will be shared in your Theology classes within the next two weeks.
