Wednesday August 31, 2016 – Mass of the Holy Spirit

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Breathe into me, Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Move in me, Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Attract my heart, Holy Spirit, that I may love only what is holy. Strengthen me, Holy Spirit, that I may defend all that is holy. Protect me, Holy Spirit, that I may always be holy. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Today, we welcome Archbishop Bernard Hebda, who will celebrate our Mass of the Holy Spirit at 1:00pm in the Main Gym. The Mass is offered to ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all parts of our life. School chaplain, Fr. Joe Kuharski, will concelebrate. Following the Mass, Archbishop Hebda will bless the new Center for Innovative Learning project.

Please note, a large portion of the main school parking lot is reserved today for guests. Students should consider riding their regular school bus route, carpooling, bicycling, or using public transportation to get to and from school. Students who drive to school should follow signs directing them to additional parking, which is available in the Mintahoe lot adjacent to the Nicollet Island Pavilion or the overflow parking lot east of the Hennepin Avenue Bridge. Students must remember to display a valid DeLaSalle parking permit. At the end of the school day, parents who pick up their children should do so in the temporary loading zones available on the school side of the street along West Island Avenue.

One other important reminder, the 2nd floor hallway between the A and B buildings (the hallway between the Library and the Ties Technology Lab) will be closed after the Mass and building blessing. Please use another route to get to where you need to go.

Seniors who did not apply for a position as a retreat team leader have until Thursday, September 1 to do so. Please click here for the application. The training for those students who have been accepted as retreat team leaders will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 3:00-6:00pm.

Just a reminder that the Campus “Lasallian” Ministry office is located in the lower level of Christian Brothers’ Hall.  Don’t hesitate to venture outside the doors to Founder’s Park and come for a visit.  We have our own entrance to the building and welcome you any time.
