Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Help me to make every moment of my day, every word from my mouth, a prayer, that I might live in Your presence. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

All students will participate in grade level meetings on Monday. This is an opportunity to review important school policies and set expectations for the year. Ninth grade students will meet period 2; 10th grade during period 3; 11th grade during period 7; and 12th grade during period 8.

Get prepared with this presentation for students and parents on the many options for paying for college. Join us Monday at 6:30pm and take away tools for navigating the new FAFSA; applying to colleges; researching scholarships, grants, and loan options; completing college applications; and writing essays.

Are you interested in sustainability projects like bio-diesel, Meatless Mondays, and designing urban green space?  How about activities like environmental advocacy or gardening?  If so, join the GREEN Team!  We are a student-led organization dedicated to creating a brighter, greener, more just community. Our first meeting is Tuesday at 3pm in B311 (Ms. Peterson’s and Mr. Banas’s room). Email Mr. Tim Lynch for more information or join us at our meetings; we always meet on Tuesdays after school. We look forward to seeing you there!

Did you know that, as part of our new building project, there are new hallways that connect the A and the B buildings? You can find these hallways near the Main Gym or through Albers Atrium. The hallways offer a quick, easy way to get from a class on the 1st floor of the A building, for example, to the 3rd floor of the B building.

Students and their families may apply for free and reduced lunch benefits. An English version of the application is available here. A Spanish version of the application is available here. You may return completed forms to Mrs. Pam Beckman in the DeLaSalle Cafe.

Students must apply for the lunch benefits each year, even if they qualified for the program in the previous school year. The deadline to apply is October 3.

A student or parent may deposit cash or check payment into a student’s cafeteria account in the Main Office at the school during normal business hours. If you are depositing money via check, please include the student’s last name and ID number in the check memo.

Families may also deposit electronically. Click here for more information and to get started.

Seniors who did not apply for a position as a retreat team leader have until Thursday, September 1 to do so. Please click here for the application. The training for those students who have been accepted as retreat team leaders will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 3:00-6:00pm.

Seniors – If you created a website for History Day last year and would like to save your website, you need to convert it from a NHD Weebly website to regular Weebly website.

To do this, sign in to your account on nhd.weebly.com.  You will see a “Convert” button – click on this button to save your website to the regular weebly site. That’s all you need to do!  After September 1, all websites that remain on the NHD Weebly site will be deleted!

Students may now register for the September driver’s education class, which will be taught by Ray Kroll ‘60 at DeLaSalle Sept. 6-9, 12-16, and 19 from 3:30-6:50pm. There is a mandatory parent meeting on Sept. 6 from 7:00-8:30pm. Click here for a registration form; completed forms are accepted in the Administration Office until the class is filled. Classroom instruction costs $110 and behind-the-wheel instruction costs $330; students who register for both the class and behind-the-wheel instruction will pay $399.
