Seniors will take their final exams today and tomorrow. Seniors will have exams in periods 1-4 today and periods 5-8 tomorrow. Seniors are excused from classes periods 1-4 tomorrow.

Seniors, you will have the last 10 minutes during your 7th hour class today to completely clean out your locker. You may carry your backpacks and other items with you to your 8th hour class. Once you have finished cleaning out your locker, please find a teacher or staff member to ensure that they can check you off on a spreadsheet on their iPad.

Temporary day Passes for the DeLaSalle parking lots will NOT be available until further notice.

Come for a night of fun with your classmates and friends! The End of Year Bonfire is Friday from 7:00-10:00pm and includes s’mores, bag toss, and concessions like soda, water, etc. Join us on Brothers’ Plaza. Yearbooks will be also be distributed for those who bought one.

Yearbooks will be distributed tomorrow from 7:00-9:00pm at the Farewell Bonfire. If you can’t or don’t attend the bonfire, you can pick up your book from the Ms Beckman in the LTC on Monday before school, during lunches or after school. No yearbook will be distributed early.

Elections for Student Council Executive Board will be held tomorrow in Social Studies classes. The candidates are:

  • President/Vice President: Miller Balley/Nathan Brand vs. Maggy Waddington/JT Baker
  • Secretary- Ricardo Vaquero-Santos
  • Public Relations- Emma Kane vs. Leysa Kurtyka
  • Treasurer- Jazmine Ngwu vs. Jazmine Panora

Tomorrow is the last day to donate money as part of the Penny Wars, which is raising funds to support disaster relief in Ecuador following the earthquake. Remember, the class with the least amount of money in their jar wins ice cream at tomorrow’s bonfire.

Any student who was ill or missed any AP exam due to unforeseen circumstances and wishes to take an AP exam during the late testing period should personally check in with Ms. Carter as soon as possible in order to confirm that a test will be ordered for you.  Please check in with her even if you have already spoken to her to confirm that the correct tests are being ordered.

A freshman student wants to capture life at DeLaSalle in 2015-16 to be included in a time capsule that would be opened years from now. If you would like something included in the time capsule, please e-mail Dejahnae Smith. The first six responses from each grade will be accepted.

Next Wednesday – the evening before graduation – we will gather for our Baccalaureate Mass, Senior Awards and Reception at 6:30pm in the Main Gym.  Seniors are asked to line up by 6:15pm in the Florance Center.

Help volunteer by handing out race packets and registering runners on Thursday from 4:30-8:30pm near the Mills City Ruins.  If you are interested in helping out, see Mr Pearson.

Congratulations to Charlie Dykstal ‘17, whose film “The Nature of It” has been accepted and will be screened Friday as part of the EDU Film Festival. The screening is at 10:10am at the Showplace ICON Theatre at West End in St. Louis Park. The film stars Katie Wojda’ 17 and Lizbet Martinez-Port ‘18 and tells the story of “a girl [who] realizes the dullness of her life and sets a plan to escape from it.”
