Today is the official feast day in the Catholic Church for St. John Baptist de La Salle, the namesake of our school and the founder of the Christian Brothers. Though his feast day is officially celebrated in the Church on this day, Lasallians traditionally celebrate Founder’s Day on May 15. This year, we will celebrate Founder’s Day with a Mass on April 27.

Any student who would like to be recognized at Founder’s Day for a Giving Tree Award, please complete the form found in the Lasallian Ministry office and return it to Lasallian Ministry by Wednesday, April 20. For more information on the Giving Tree, you may speak with Mr. CJ Hallman or click here.

The A building restrooms will NOT be available tomorrow because construction crews need to shut off the water so they can do some mechanical work as part of the Center for Innovative Learning project. Signs will be posted reminding you that the bathrooms will not be available. Please use the B building restrooms instead.

All DeLaSalle students are invited to participate on the committee that organizes Starry Night Prom by attending the mandatory meetings. The event is a prom for people in the greater community living with disabilities and will be held here at DeLaSalle on Saturday, May 7.

If you did not attend the mandatory meeting at 7:30 this morning, you have a chance to participate during your lunch period today. Simply bring your lunch to A219 (formerly the Robert Casanova Room). See Ms. Hodapp with any questions.

Good luck to the DeLaSalle Robotics team, which competes today and tomorrow in the Minnesota North Star Regional First Robotics Competition at the University of Minnesota’s Mariucci Arena.

Are you missing your spring break time? Then why not play some chess with your fellow Islanders to cheer yourself up? Chess Club will meet again after school today until 4:00pm in A204. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and if you just have to time to stop by and play one quick game that’s fine. See Ms. Kocourek or Anders Jenson with any questions.

Come play Scrabble on the first Friday of each month. Join us after school tFriday in Ms. Sullivan’s room, A206. This is very informal and you can come when you can.

AP Students: ALL students taking AP tests must attend the REQUIRED Pre-Administration session.on Tuesday, April 12 during your lunch period in the LL Grey Gym. Bring your lunch and a #2 pencil.

Students interested in sharing their thoughts for possible revisions on some policies within the Student Parent Handbook, please send Ms. Weeks an email. The meeting will be held sometime in the upcoming couple weeks.

The Lasallian Ministry office is still looking for students to participate in this summer opportunity.  Please complete this form if you are interested and see Mr. CJ Hallman if you need more information.

Due to Starry Night Prom committee meetings, official game days will not be happening through the rest of the school year in Lasallian Ministry. However, you are always welcome to stop over during your lunch period any day to play games if campus ministers are present.  We love to have company! Students who come to play or visit during lunch will be entered into a raffle.  The drawing will be held on Friday, April 29th during all lunch periods.
