There is no school Friday because of Good Friday. Remember, spring break is next week (March 28-April 1). Classes will resume on Monday, April 4.
Your classmates putting together the yearbook want to hear from you before you go on spring break. Please take a moment to fill out this Best of 2015 survey and this Yearbook Survey. You must be logged in to your Student Apps account in order to complete the surveys.
The DeLaSalle School Store will not be open on Thursday from 3:00-5:00pm. The School Store will also be closed over spring break. However, you can order items through the School Store website.
Looking to kick off your spring break with a blast? Then make sure to stop by and play some games of Chess with your fellow Islanders. Chess Club meets again after school today until 4:00pm in A204. Please note that Chess Club will end at 4:00pm for the rest of the year. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and if you just have time to stop by and play one quick game, that’s fine. See Ms. Kocourek or Anders Jenson with any questions.
Register now for the summer Health/PE Wellness and US Government courses. The courses are open to students who will be sophomores, juniors, or seniors in the 2016-17 school year. Each course lasts three weeks and the tuition is $300 per course. Health/PE Wellness will meet from 8:00am-12:00pm May 31-June 3, June 6-9, and June 13-16. US Government will meet from 8:00am-12:00pm May 31-June 3, June 7-10, and June 14-17.

All students are required to have a school-issued lock to secure their locker. Lockers not meeting these guidelines will be secured by this Thursday. If you need a lock or assistance with your locker, see Mr. Lemon or Ms. Weeks.

All DeLaSalle students are invited to participate on the committee that organizes Starry Night Prom by attending the mandatory meetings. The event is a prom for people in the greater community living with disabilities and will be held here at DeLaSalle on Saturday, May 7.
All participants must attend a meeting on Thursday, April 7 – either in the morning from 7:30-8:20am OR during your lunch. As always, please pick up your lunch and come promptly to A219.
Do you need to get in touch with your prehistoric self or relieve the tension of approaching final exams? Atlatl Society begins Tuesday, April 5, from 3:15-4:15pm in room B302. All are welcome! Please see Mr. Sczepanski if you have any questions.
DeLaSalle has an opportunity to pursue a boys’ swimming team. If you are interested, please sign up in the Student Activities office.
Students – explore the fun world of rowing. Several opportunities exist for you to get involved in the local rowing scene:
- The Minneapolis Rowing Club offers Learn to Row classes starting in May. Click here for more information.
- Twin Cities Youth Rowing Club offers a Learn to Row class in early June as well as camps for beginning rowers in June and July. Click here to learn more.

Students may now register for the next driver’s education class, which will be taught by Ray Kroll ‘60 at DeLaSalle. The class meets from 9:00am-12:20pm on May 31-June 3, June 6-10, and June 13. Click here to download a registration form. You may return completed registration forms to the Administration Office. Registration forms are accepted until the class is filled. Classroom instruction costs $110 and behind-the-wheel instruction costs $330; students who register for both the class and behind-the-wheel instruction will pay $399.
Juniors, are you planning on taking the June 11 ACT exam? You may want to build your testing skills in a five-week prep class at DeLaSalle through ACT Ready. The class will meet once a week beginning Monday, April 25. Spaces are available in the 5:30-7:30pm class. Please carefully read this information sheet. Click here to register. Questions?
