DeLaSalle High School congratulates 37 members of its graduating Class of 2016 who have achieved the honor of “Distinguished Scholar.”  These 37 students have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 or better through the first semester of their senior year.  (With accelerated grade point values for Honors and Advanced Placement courses, the range of grade point averages is as high as 4.34.)

With the vast majority of incoming ninth graders having been highly successful middle school students and continuing that level of success in high school, and with 97-99 percent of each graduating class matriculating to college each year, DeLaSalle has not ranked its students by grade point average since the 2001-02 school year. Therefore, the Distinguished Scholar recognition is the most significant academic recognition based on grade point average for a given student.
