Parent-Student-Teacher conferences are today from 2-8pm and tomorrow from 11am-5pm. School will be dismissed today at 12:28pm and afternoon transportation routes will leave at 12:40pm. There is no school tomorrow.

All AP students are required to register for and pay for their AP exams. Refer to the Google form in the March 4 AP email for more information. The deadline to register is March 22. See Ms. Carter in the Guidance office for payment or any questions.

DeLaSalle will offer Health/PE Wellness and US Government as courses this summer for students who will be sophomores, juniors, or seniors in the 2016-17 school year. Each course lasts three weeks and the tuition is $300 per course. Health/PE Wellness will meet from 8:00am-12:00pm May 31-June 3, June 6-9, and June 13-16. US Government will meet from 8:00am-12:00pm May 31-June 3, June 7-10, and June 14-17.

Minneapolis Community and Technology College will host “Aqui Hay Oportunidades” on Saturday from 9:00am-2:30pm to help raise awareness about access to college for Latino students in the Twin Cities. Students and families can learn how to file for financial aid, how to be a Latino student leader, and how to find scholarship opportunities. The event will be on the second floor of the campus T building. There is free parking. Click here to learn more.

Students are not permitted to be in any areas on campus designated as construction zones, which includes the storage Pods located next to Brother’s Plaza. School consequences may be issued for students who are in violation of this policy. Please see Ms. Weeks with any questions.

Learn about anthropology, economics, and field biology in Costa Rica through a Global Advantage Program trip June 28-July 7. We’ll start in the capital, San Jose, and then go to reserves in the jungle and stay along the Pacific coast. Students on this 10-day trip will join the other 15 DeLaSalle students who will already be in Costa Rica. The cost is $2,300 and you earn DeLaSalle credit. There are 8 spots and they will be filled in order of application receipt. If interested, see Mr. Sczepanski or Ms. Williams-Freier.

All girls participating in golf this year will have a meeting on Monday at 3:15 in room A106 to begin the golf season.  We will discuss practice schedules and expectations for varsity and JV.  See Mr. John in room A106 if you have questions.

Are you involved in a spring sport? Need a locker in the boys’ or girls’ locker room? Please see the Student Activities office to get a locker.

Juniors, are you planning on taking the June 11 ACT exam? You may want to build your testing skills in a five-week prep class at DeLaSalle through ACT Ready. The class will meet once a week beginning Monday, April 25. Spaces are available in the 5:30-7:30pm class. Please carefully read this information sheet. Click here to register. Questions? De Parents in Prayer meets again in the Florence Center on Monday from 8:30-9:30am. Parents, whether you have already been at one of these gatherings, or this is your first time, please Join us! We need you! We gather to share fellowship and lift up these requests. This is an opportunity to give and receive encouragement – and an excellent way to close out Lent.

In the last 2 months alone, over 160 prayers have been placed in prayer boxes around campus. Anyone can submit a prayer request at one of those boxes – in Lasallian Ministry, the Main Office, or Theology classrooms. Prayer requests can remain anonymous.

Parents are invited to join the college advising team for in informal parent forum “Shepherding Your Students’ Scholarship Search” on Tuesday, March 22, from 6:45-7:45pm in the Guidance office, B103. This is an encore presentation that first took place on February 23. As always, all are welcome!
