All college visits take place in the Guidance office, unless otherwise noted. In order to meet with a college rep, you must register for the visit through your Naviance account and notify your teacher at least one day before the visit. You may show your teacher your iPad with the registration on Naviance as your pass. Remember, you are responsible for any work you miss during your visit with the college rep.

Get ready to show your school spirit at a Pepfest today after 8th hour in the Main Gym. The Spirit Stick is up for grabs and the Pepfest includes a performance by the DeLaSalle Step Team.

The Islanders punched their ticket back into the state boys’ basketball tournament with a 71-51 section championship win over Delano last night. Thanks to all the fans who showed up in Chanhassen to cheer on.

The first game of the state tournament is Wednesday at Williams Arena. We’ll find out over the weekend which seed the Islanders receive and will share more information about game time and other logistics as we get them.

This is the final weekend to catch DeLaSalle Theatre’s production of “The Addams Family”. Performances are tonight and tomorrow at 7:30pm in the Florance Center. DeLaSalle students get in free with a current student ID. Click here to find more about the show and to purchase tickets.

Come cheer on the girls’ basketball team as they face Totino-Grace in the section semifinal tomorrow at 6pm. The game is at Washington Technology Magnet in St. Paul. Click here to sign up for a fan bus. You must sign up by 9am tomorrow. The bus will leave from the front of DeLaSalle at 5:00pm on Saturday.

Ms Beckman has put together another service trip to Colorado Springs, CO. This year’s trip is June 2-10.

Students who are interested in participating in the trip need to:

  1. Complete the online application (You must be logged into your Students Apps account to access the form)
  2. Send the signed permission slip to Ms Beckman.
  3. Ask three staff members to complete an online staff recommendation for you.

All application material must be submitted and turned in by 4:00pm on Friday, March 4.

DeLaSalle students are invited to travel to Chicago April 8-10 for a weekend retreat focused on Social Justice and advocacy at the Br. David Darst Center. If you are interested in participating, please indicate your interest by complete this on-line form. Christian Service Hours are awarded.

Students are not permitted to carry their backpacks or wear coats during the school day, unless they have administrative permission. Please leave these items in your locker until after 8th period. If you have questions, see Ms. Weeks.

As a reminder, all students who receive need-based financial aid must complete 10 hours of work service in return for their grant. Students who need to complete their work service should e-mail Mr. Grue to arrange a time for the work.

Come play Scrabble on the first Friday of each month. Join us after school today in Ms. Sullivan’s room, A206. This is very informal and you can come when you can.

It’s time for the Islander Cheer Clinic! If you have younger siblings or friends who have energy and spirit, this will be an awesome day! The cheer camp includes traditional sideline cheerleading skills, as well as the major components of competition cheer: stunts and lifts, tumbling, and dance. A great camp for all kids – from beginners to experienced cheerleaders. We will put together a mini routine and end the day with a family and friends performance!

Vision and hearing screening will be done for 10th graders on Monday, March 7 during Social Studies classes. Rescreening will be held Monday, March 21. Students, if you have glasses or contacts, please wear them on Monday. Thank you.

Congratulations to these students whose History Day projects are entered into Monday’s regional competition at Augsburg College. These projects will be judged once again, and may be chosen to advance on to the 2016 Minnesota State History Day. Click here to read more.

Preseason Captains Practice for Track and Field are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:20-4:30pm. Meet in Mr. Pearson’s room (A202). Everyone is welcome to run! The regular season starts March 14.

We will start working with 9th graders on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – March 7-9 – from 3:05pm – 5:30pm in the LL Gray Gym. Bring your tennis shoes, gloves, and bat, if you have one. Any questions? See Mr. Heinecke in the LTC prior to Monday.

A non-profit wants to help junior and senior girls with difficult family or financial circumstances attend Prom by giving them a gown or dress and accessories at no charge. To be eligible, you must be in a financial or family situation such that you would not be able to go to prom unless you received a dress from Operation Glass Slipper. You must get a referral from an adult outside of your family (e.g. a teacher, counselor, clergy member, etc.). Referral forms are available in the DeLaSalle counseling office.
