All college visits take place in the Guidance office, unless otherwise noted. In order to meet with a college rep, you must register for the visit through your Naviance account and notify your teacher at least one day before the visit. You may show your teacher your iPad with the registration on Naviance as your pass. Remember, you are responsible for any work you miss during your visit with the college rep.

Students will participate in grade level meetings after 1st hour on Thursday. Ninth, 10th, and 11th graders will receive course registration information for the 2016-17 school year while 12th graders will receive important updates relating to graduation and other year-end matters.

Over the last two weeks, counselors have been in the classroom with 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, sharing results from the testing that took place back in October. Parents, if your child has not shared results with you, please ask them to see their score sheet. Your students will be able to explain the results to you. Parents are invited to learn more about the Advanced Placement (AP) program at DeLaSalle at AP Parent Information Night on Thursday at 6:30pm. Discover which courses will be offered in the 2016-17 school year, how AP exams work, and how students may earn college credit.
Join your friends in the Main Gym today at 3:30pm for the Powderpuff volleyball game. Cheer on the boys as the Juniors face off against the Seniors for the craziest volleyball game of the year.

DeLaSalle is sponsoring an immersion trip July 8-15 for students to De La Salle Blackfeet School on the Blackfeet Indian reservation in Browning, Montana. If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity, please e-mail Ms. Hodapp.
We will gather as a school community in the Florance Center after 1st hour tomorrow for our Ash Wednesday Mass. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the period of 40 days leading to Christ’s death on Good Friday and Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Do you think you are the best chess player at De? Well, luckily for you, we have the perfect opportunity for you to prove that you are worthy of the title of “DeLaSalle Grandmaster.” Come to Chess Club this Thursday to sign up for the official DeLaSalle Chess Tournament, to be held on Thursday, February 18. After signing up, you can stay and play a few games to practice. Chess Club meets after school Thursday until 5:00pm in A204. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and if you just have time to stop by and play one quick game, that’s fine. If you are unable to attend this Thursday, you can also send an email to Ms. Kocourek or Anders Jenson to sign up for the Feb. 18th tournament .
DeLaSalle has been invited to participate in a Black History Month event at North Hennepin Community College on Friday, February 19 from 10:00am-1:00pm. If you feel you can afford a partial day away from school and would like to participate, please come to the Lasallian Ministry office to pick up a request for absence form. The completed form, including PARENT OR GUARDIAN signature, must be returned to the Lasallian Ministry office by this Friday (February 12). Participation will be on a first come first served basis.
St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in south Minneapolis is looking for volunteers to help serve fish dinners during Lent. You will help bring supplies to work stations, set table service, fill water pitchers, coffee pots, bus dishes, help with end of evening clean-up and return the room(s) to their pre-dinner condition. “Ambassadors” are also needed to greet guests at the end of the serving line and ask them if they would like anyone to help them get to their table and/ or carry their food to their table.
Shifts are available from 4:15-6:15pm and from 6:15-9:15pm. Interested? Email Mary Bulthaus.
