Catholic Schools Week and Winterfest are underway at DeLaSalle. We saw lots of students and staff donning those ugly sweaters yesterday. Today’s Out of Uniform is USA Day: Today’s the day you show that star spangled swag, wearing red, white, and blue.

Tomorrow’s Out of Uniform Day is Class Color Day. Dress in the color of you graduating class. Freshmen will wear white; sophomores – green; juniors – blue; seniors – black, and staff – red.

Click here for full coverage, including all out of uniform days and activities.

Because of the snow, all DeLaSalle after school activities have been canceled for Tuesday, Feb. 2.

The Speech team meeting that was supposed to be held today has been postponed until tomorrow afternoon, in the same time and location.

We will gather in the Florance Center after 1st hour tomorrow for our Catholic Schools Week liturgy. DeLaSalle parent and pastoral associate at Holy Rosary Church, Deb Organ, will share a reflection on the Year of Mercy. Please remember to leave all of your belongings in your 1st hour classroom and to go with your 1st hour class to the liturgy.

Join your friends in the Main Gym after school tomorrow for the Powderpuff volleyball game. Cheer on the boys as the Juniors face off against the Seniors for the craziest volleyball game of the year.

Today is the last day to sign up to go alpine skiing after school on Thursday at Hyland Park in Bloomington. Click here to sign up. After you sign up, you must go to the Student Activities office to pick up a liability waiver form. Students may not participate in the event without a signed liability waiver form.

Students may bring their own ski/snowboarding equipment. Lift tickets cost $19; skis, snowboards, and helmets are available for rent. A bus will leave from the front of DeLaSalle at 3:45pm and return around 8pm. See Mr. Pribyl in the Student Activities office with questions.

Student Council, along with Memorial Blood Centers, will sponsor a Blood Drive on Friday from 8:00am-2:00pm in A219. Students and staff may sign up in the attendance office to donate blood. You must be 16 or older to donate.

The votes have been tallied, the Sadie Hawkins dance decorations are winter-themed this year. The dance dress code is casual, ladies choice. Come down to the winter wonderland to dance, take pictures and play games. This Saturday from 7:00-10:30pm in the Florance Center. The cost is $6 (or $5 if you also bring a canned good).

You must bring your student ID, as you will not be admitted to the dance without it!. If you have lost your ID, you can get a replacement for $3 in the administration office. The administration office is on the 2nd floor between the A and B buildings.

What does casual dress code mean? Click here to read about what is allowed in the Student-Parent Handbook.

If you choose to bring a guest to the dance, you must complete and return this Dance Guest Form by Friday.
