Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

God, I pray that my mind may constantly turn to you, so that I may always remember you when I am tempted to anger, to selfishness, to lust for power and the vanities of this world. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

All college visits take place in the Guidance office, unless otherwise noted. In order to meet with a college rep, you must register for the visit through your Naviance account and notify your teacher at least one day before the visit. You may show your teacher your iPad with the registration on Naviance as your pass. Remember, you are responsible for any work you miss during your visit with the college rep.

Uncle Sam wants you to prove your chess prowess at DeLaSalle’s very own Chess Club! Chess Club meets again this Thursday after school until 5:00pm in A204. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and if you just have to time to stop by and play one quick game, that’s fine. See Ms. Kocourek or Anders Jenson with any questions.

You can help pick next year’s Scripture theme. Mr. Lieske is looking for suggestions for the theme, especially Scripture passages that speak to DeLaSalle’s engagement with Pope Francis proclaiming this the Holy Year of Mercy. Submit your idea to Mr. Lieske along with your thinking about why it would be a good Scripture theme for next year. Email your suggestion or drop it off in the administration office before the end of the month.

Parents: Join your student’s college counseling team for “Navigating Naviance – Your Student’s Online Tool for Managing the College Search” on Tuesday from 6:45-7:45pm in the Guidance office. All are welcome. This is an encore of a morning session held on November 24, 2015.

The group De Parents in Prayer will meet a week from today in the Florance Center. The prayer session is from 1:45-2:45pm on January 29. Students, staff, and families may place prayer requests in prayer boxes in the Lasallian Ministry office, Main Office, and Theology classrooms. Requests may remain anonymous.
