The GREEN Team is hosting Steve Seidl, Executive Director of EnerChange and certified Climate Project presenter, for a presentation on and discussion about climate change. Happening after school TODAY in B311. The presentation will seek to break down the complex terms of science and political policy actions around climate change into everyday language and offer ways we can work together towards a more sustainable future.  All are welcome to attend!

The Coding Club meets after school on Monday and Wednesday from 3:00-4:30pm. Learn how to program in Python or in Android AppInventor.  See Mr Pearson if you have any questions.

We will recognize our winter sports athletes at a Pepfest after 8th hour on Thursday. Will your class claim the spirit stick? Let us hear your battle cry…

Join us tomorrow (Wednesday) for the next #LMLunchTalk. Please bring your lunch to A219 (formerly the Robert Casanova Room). This week, we will do an activity to get to know each other and build trust within the group. If you would like to come to the talks this semester, we ask you to please attend this meeting.

On Thursday, Lasallian Ministry will gather for our first meeting of the new semester.  All are welcome.  The meeting will be held in A219 (formerly the Robert Casanova Room) from 7:30-8:20am. Snacks will be provided.

Looking to avoid freezing in the cold outdoors? Then come warm up by playing Chess with your fellow Islanders instead. Chess Club meets again this Thursday after school until 5:00pm in A204 (note new room). Players of all skill levels are welcome, and if you just have to time to stop by and play one quick game, that’s fine. See Ms. Kocourek or Anders Jenson with any questions.

The Tabletop Games Club meets after school on Thursday in B307 and will play King of New York (with King of Tokyo as a backup if we have enough players). If you haven’t played these before, please watch this episode of Geek and Sundry’s Tabletop: King of Tokyo video for an introduction. King of New York is based on King of Tokyo, but has an expanded rules set. (Note: this is a YouTube link, so students will not be able to watch at school).

Will the principal be DeLaSalle’s King of New York?  Will he even show up to do battle?

We are looking for 8-10 students to help with a special dinner and silent auction at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (where we have our class Masses).  The event is Tuesday, February 9 from 4:45-9:45pm. Please e-mail Ms. Hodapp if you are available to help.
