Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

God, Keep me humble, dependent, supremely joyful, as calm and quiet as a dependent child, yet earnest and active. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Today is an out of uniform day. If you didn’t buy a wristband before school for $2, you must be dressed in your school uniform. Thanks for supporting today’s out of uniform day.

Art Club will NOT meet today. See you next week.

Today is the last day to vote on what you want the theme to be for the Sadie Hawkins dance. Student Council wants to hear from you. Fill out this survey before the end of the school day today. You must be logged in to your Student Islander Apps account to complete it.

Then, mark your calendar for the dance on February 6. More details coming soon!

The yearbook committee needs your help…..They need pictures that capture how you spent your Christmas break and New Year’s Eve. Please email images to yearbook@delasalle.com and make sure to include who is in the picture and where and what you are doing.

Looking to make good on your New Year’s resolution of getting better at Chess? Then boy do we have the thing for you! Chess Club will meet again after school until 5:00pm this Thursday in A107. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and if you just have to time to stop by and play one quick game, that’s fine. See Ms. Kocourek or Anders Jenson with any questions.

On Friday, we gather for an all school prayer service honoring the life of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  The 56-minute liturgy will be held between first and second period in the Florance Center.

Our worship service will be led by Mr. Steven Pittman, father of Nevaeh ’16, and the Praise Team at Overcomers Victory Church. Mr. Pittman is the music director of this multitalented, multicultural group comprised of vocalists, songwriters, musicians and producers.  The mission of the group is simple: to glorify God with the ministry of song through their gifts and talents.  Mr. Pittman’s nephew, Pierre Fulford, will also be joining us to share a spoken word message.

The February driver’s education class is full and any registrations that come in at this point will be put on a waiting list.
