Students and staff officially began the second semester on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
Launching into a busy second-half of the year, students will begin the week by welcoming three students from our Lasallian affiliate school in Costa Rica who will be visiting with us until January 15 in conjunction with our Global Advantage Program.
On January 8th, eleventh grade students participated in Junior College Planning Day, a day dedicated to learning about college applications, financial aid, and ACT/SAT test preparation. Students heard from a panel of De alum on various topics relating to the college experience.
Also on January 8th, ninth grade students participated in their class retreat at St. Maron Retreat Center. They spent the day in prayer, deepening connections with classmates, and focusing on the value of respect both at DeLaSalle and beyond.
Earlier this year over 270 prospective students and their families attended our Fall Open House. On January 11, we will again welcome prospective students and their families for a taste of Islander Pride at our January Open House.
Finally, students, faculty, and staff will come together in prayer on Janurary 15th to celebrate the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, a model of peace, love, and social justice to all.
