Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

May all of us live in that unity of spirit which our faith in Christ provides to us, in the bond of peace, and in righteousness of life. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

We host our next Open House for Prospective Students and Families on Monday evening at 7:00pm. So that we can clean and prepare our campus for our guests, we ask that all students who are not involved in an after school activity leave campus immediately after school on Monday. The Library & Technology Center will close at 3:15pm. Thank you for your cooperation.
There will be a 2-hour late start on Tuesday, January 12. Classes will start at 10:30am as faculty and staff continue a professional development program related to racial equity and social justice teachings of the Catholic Church. Morning transportation routes on Jan. 12 will also run two hours later than usual. And, remember, there is no breakfast served in the DeLaSalle Cafe on late start days.

Additional 2-hour late starts are scheduled on January 27, February 29, March 15, and April 14.

Join the Robotics team at DeLaSalle. Robotics starts tomorrow. See Mr. Dirlam in B316 this week to sign up on the team roster.
Come play Scrabble on the first Friday of each month. It starts after school today in Ms. Sullivan’s room, A206. This is very informal and you can come when you can.
Are you interested in working in photography, graphic design, and/or broadcast journalism? Ms. Lundstrum will host an Open Media Lab in B201 for interested students after school on Tuesdays from 3:05-4:00pm, beginning January 12. Any student who is interested in contributing to the Yearbook is also welcome.

Starting this semester, Miss Barry and Mr. Christianson will start a Fit Club to help you maintain or improve your fitness level through a variety of fitness activities. As part of the club, members will be given or can purchase Pivotal Fitness bands to measure activity, steps and sleep levels, plus the opportunity to monitor calorie and water intake. If interested, complete this survey or see either Miss Barry or Mr. Christianson.

Student volunteers are needed to help Touchstone Mental Health conduct a telephone satisfaction survey of the more than 1,100 adults served annually by the South Minneapolis-based nonprofit provider of mental health services. Clients receive notice about the survey and know they will be receiving a phone call.

Surveys will be conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30-7:30pm on January 12-14, 19-21, and 26-28.

Volunteers do not need to participate every evening and can choose which dates will work with their schedules. Refreshments and snacks are provided.

If you are interested, please contact Kathie at 612-843-2201 to sign up or ask questions.

Seniors, don’t forget that all of your hours and paper are due by January 22 – no exceptions.  You can find Christian Service information, forms and agency ideas on the DeLaSalle website. Contact Mr. CJ Hallman in the Lasallian Ministry office if you have any questions or concerns.

Great Gatherings directly support student scholarships while offering De parents an opportunity to connect with other parents in their child’s grade. The parties provide a fun, casual environment for parents to share their experiences as they and their children navigate high school – from being a 9th grader all the way to college admissions.

There are two more Great Gathering parties scheduled:

  • 11th grade: Saturday, January 16, 7:00pm
  • 12th grade: Saturday, January 9, 6:30pm

Click here if you would like to attend a party. The cost is $25 per person.
