Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

God, teach me to make choices about my time, to remember what is important this season and to say “no” whenever my “yes” would take me away from your peace. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

  • 5:00pm: Wrestling meet @ DeLaSalle

The first semester will end on Tuesday.

Because many courses are full-year courses, assessments at the end of the first semester may vary. DeLaSalle has assigned academic departments a specific day in which teachers, if they choose, may offer a final exam:

  • Today
    -English
    -P.E./Health
    -Modern Language
  • Monday
    -Science
    -Fine Arts
    -Math
  • Tuesday
    -Social Studies
    -Theology

As a reminder, school is in session from 8:30am-3:00pm on Monday, December 21 and Tuesday, December 22.

Finally, we know that the end of the semester can be a stressful time for both students and teachers alike. That’s why we offer this tried-and-true wisdom: don’t forget to get a good night’s rest, eat breakfast each morning (the DeLaSalle Cafe is open each morning before school), and come prepared to do your best.

Christmas Break is December 23-January 5 and the school will be open from 8:00am-4:00pm each day, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Please note that many staff choose to take time off during the break. You may find how to contact an individual staff memberthrough our online Staff Directory.

In honor of the 12th grade boys….The DeLaSalle Cafe will have RESTITTUTION BRONCO BURGERS as the main entree on Monday.

The definition of restitution is “the restoration of something lost or stolen to its proper owner.”

Rock on 12th grade boys!

The Parent Association-sponsored group, De Parents in Prayer, will meet on Monday morning to lift up the prayers of the Islander community. The group meets from 8:30-9:30am in the Florance Center. Islanders may submit prayer requests – which may be anonymous and may be offered for yourself or for the needs and joys you have seen in others. Prayer boxes are located in the Attendance Office and the Lasallian Ministry office. We hope you will feel encouraged by the knowledge that people care about you, are excited for you and are PRAYING FOR YOU! All parents, family members, friends, and alumni are welcome. Questions? Contact Parent Association co-chair Jackie Schluter-Johnson or Peg Hodapp.

Students, the yearbook staff is trying to complete the spread about your summer vacation but they need your help. Send the best pictures from your summer vacation to yearbook@delasalle.com along with information about who is in the photo and what is going on. Please email pictures that you would like the yearbook staff to consider using in the yearbook. Please send us your pictures by this Friday at 3pm.

Also, if you have not already completed the summer survey, please click here and take 2 minutes to do so.

The Christmas Break is a great time to connect with an agency and complete some of your Christian Service Hours. Seniors, don’t forget that all of your hours and paper are due by January 22 – no exceptions.  You can find Christian Service information, forms and agency ideas on the DeLaSalle website. Contact Mr. CJ Hallman in the Lasallian Ministry office if you have any questions or concerns.

Students may now register for the next driver’s education class, which will be taught by Ray Kroll ‘60 at DeLaSalle February 16-19, 22-26, and 29. Click here to download a registration form.
