All college visits take place in the Guidance office, unless otherwise noted. In order to meet with a college rep, you must register for the visit through your Naviance account and notify your teacher at least one day before the visit. You may show your teacher your iPad with the registration on Naviance as your pass. Remember, you are responsible for any work you miss during your visit with the college rep.

​There’s still time to see DeLaSalle Theatre’s production “The Once and Future King.” Showtimes are 7:30pm tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday. The show is free for De students with a current student ID. Click here for more information.

​We gather as a community between first and second period on Tuesday for our Thanksgiving Prayer Service.  Come prepared to pray in Thanksgiving for all of the gifts God has bestowed on us.

​The Parent Association-sponsored group, De Parents in Prayer, will meet on Friday to lift up the prayers of the Islander community. The group meets at 1:45pm in the Florance Center. Islanders may submit prayer requests – which may be anonymous and may be offered for yourself or for the needs and joys you have seen in others. Prayer boxes are located in the Attendance Office and the Lasallian Ministry office. We hope you will feel encouraged by the knowledge that people care about you, are excited for you and are PRAYING FOR YOU! All parents, family members, friends, and alumni are welcome. Questions? ​Lasallian Ministry meets this morning from 7:30-8:20am in A219 (formerly the Robert Casanova Room). All are welcome, snacks provided. This week the youth organization TVP (Teens for Violence Prevention) will be offering a presentation. This organization was formed by teens to help promote the discussion of domestic abuse across Minnesota. The goal is to engage youth/peers in dialogue and provide information about awareness of abuse and unhealthy relationships.

Lunchtime Game Day in Lasallian Ministry resumes today as well. Come to Lasallian Ministry for games during all lunches.

​Are you interested in socializing with the DLS community while learning and playing table top games?  Come to the initial meeting of the Table Top Games Club.  We will discuss meeting dates and times, format, and pick some games to start with. Meet in Mr. Newman’s room, B307, today at 3:15pm. See Mr. Newman or Mr. Jung with questions or if you are interested but cannot attend the meeting.

​DeLaSalle’s own Chess Club is starting up again. We will meet in room A107 after school today until 5:00pm. If you think you are the best around, now is your chance to compete for fame, honor, glory and the title of “Greatest Chess Player at De.” Players of all skill levels are welcome! See Ms. Kocourek or Anders Jenson with questions.

​Are you competitive? Do you like to read? If you said yes to either of these questions, MACRs may be for you! Please stop in the Student Activities office during lunches today to sign up.

Cheer on the best boys’ and girls’ basketball teams in the state during our 2015-16 Winter Sideline Cheer season! There is no tryout to be a member of this team. The first practice will be held on Tuesday, December 1, from 3:30-5:30pm, in the Florance Center. For more information about our sideline programs click here.

If you would like to know more about Cheer Team financial obligations, practices, attendance expectations, etc, please take a look at the 2015-2016 Cheer Information Packet. If you are interested in being a member of the team, please fill out the Registration Form (last page of the Information Packet) and bring it with you to the first practice. It must be signed by a parent or guardian confirming that you understand the contents of the packet and have permission to join.

​You can now enter your art in this year’s Scholastic Art awards! Artwork will be judged in three categories: originality, technical skill, and emergence of a personal vision or voice. Artwork may be submitted in the following categories: comic art, design, digital art, drawing, fashion, film, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture ($5 entry fee per piece). There is a portfolio competition for seniors! ($20 entry fee) Any student who is interested in having their artwork considered for the regional show should see Ms. Lundstrum in the LTC as soon as possible. Entries are due December 11.
