Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Lord, have mercy on us, and forgive us our sins, and the sins of others. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Congratulations to the Islander volleyball team, which beat Dassel-Cokato last night in the semifinals and will play tomorrow night in the section championship against #1 seed Concordia Academy. The game is at 7:00pm at the Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield. There will be a fan bus to the game. Please click here to sign up before the end of lunches tomorrow. The fan bus will leave from the front of DeLaSalle at 6:00pm. Remember, everyone must pay to attend the game. But, open your wallets and let’s cheer on the Islanders to the state tournament!

Speech auditions are today and tomorrow from 3:30-5:30pm in Ms Wagner’s room, A207. Pieces will be provided for you to read. Please stop by A207 to sign up for a time-slot.

Mr. Pearson and Ms. Roggow would like to take a group of girls to MAKE YOUR OWN MOBIL APP Day on Saturday, November 14 for an awesome morning learning to code mobile apps with a free, powerful, easy-to-use programming language called App Inventor. No experience necessary; mentors will guide you in creating 2 fun Android apps. Our plan is to have a group of DeLaSalle girls use this skill to create a mobile app and compete in the Technovation Challenge starting in January.
If you are interested please sign up by filling out this form and meet us after school on Wednesday at 3:10pm in Mr. Pearson’s room, A202, to learn more.

All current DeLaSalle parents are invited to participate in the next monthly Parent Association meeting on Monday at 6:30pm. Join parenting professionals and ConnectedFamilies.org co-founders, Jim and Lynne Jackson, for a workshop that imparts powerful principles and practical tools to help parents address screen time, internet, and cell phone use and their impact on teens’ values and beliefs.

DeLaSalle is thankful for the time and talents shared by our many parent volunteers. Many opportunities exist throughout the year for parents to become involved in our school community. Currently there is a need for multiple parent volunteers to help with the Lasallian Ministry 10th Grade Class retreat on Friday, November 13. Volunteers are needed from 10:45am-2:30pm to help chaperone a service activity at Feed My Starving Children. For more information, please contact Mr. CJ Hallman at 612.676.7690.

DeLaSalle mandates that all staff and volunteers who have regular or unsupervised contact with minors and/or vulnerable adults must sign a Volunteer Code of Conduct, complete VIRTUS training, and have a completed background check on file at the school. For more information about volunteering at DeLaSalle, please contact Mary McLaren at 612.676.7677.
