Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

God, may we accept with gratitude the community you have given us – and work to serve and build up one another as members of one body. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Students, the school building will be off limits after 6:30pm tonight and on Friday. That means that if you plan to attend the Powderpuff or Homecoming football games, you must bring your belongings (backpack, jackets, etc.) with you. Thank you.

Let us hear your battle cry tomorrow as we gather in the Main Gym for our Homecoming Pepfest after 8th hour. We will celebrate our Islander tradition and recognize alumni during the Pepfest.

Come tailgate before the Homecoming football game! Join us tomorrow from 4:30-6:15pm in the “donut” parking lot (the small parking lot off of DeLaSalle Drive) for burgers and hot dogs before the Islanders host Spring Lake Park at 7:00pm. Parents, students, and alumni are welcome. Feel free to bring food, beverages, and games!

Join us for the Homecoming Dance & Bonfire this Saturday night. The dance and bonfire are the same event and go from 7:30-11:00pm (the bonfire starts at 8:00pm). No students will have access to the bonfire except those who have already paid and entered the dance. Students may not leave either the dance or the bonfire and return. Once a student leaves either event (except to go to the other), they will be done with the event for the rest of the night.

Each DeLaSalle student may bring one guest to a school-sponsored dance. The host or guest student must pick up a Dance Guest Registration form from the Attendance Office and have it completed by the guest and faxed back to the Activities Office at least one day prior to the dance. The DeLaSalle student and guest must arrive together. The guest must present a picture ID. Prior to the dance, guests will be presented with guidelines and rules for DeLaSalle dances. With their signature, guests will confirm their understanding of the rules and give DeLaSalle school contact information to a parent or guardian. All guests are subject to the same rules as DeLaSalle students. If the rules are not followed the guest will be asked to leave.

The school pictures that you took the first week of classes have arrived. Please pick up your picture package during lunch today if you did not do so yesterday. Picture Retake Day is tentatively scheduled for Friday, October 2.

Apple has released a software update for the iPad called iOS 9. Students should NOT update their iPad with the new operating system until DeLaSalle’s technology team has tested school apps for iOS 9 compatibility and functionality in the school environment so we can transition smoothly to the new software.

Please ignore any iOS 9 software update notifications or prompts that appear on your iPad until further notice from DeLaSalle.

Students who update to iOS 9 before given permission will have restrictions placed on their device and all personal apps will be deleted for the remainder of the semester.
