As of today, all students, families, and alumni may purchase their DeLaSalle Homecoming T-shirts by clicking here. Buy yours while supplies last – shirts cost $10. Homecoming starts Sept. 14 and we will share more information soon about dress-up days and other Homecoming Week activities.

Calling all Senior and Junior girls interested in playing Powderpuff football this year. Sign ups are available outside the girls’ locker room. Sign up ASAP for practices, which will be held next week. Once signed up, please pay attention to your email for more information.

Want to give back to one of our own community members?  If you are free immediately after school today, please join us as we help Ms. McAdams with some yard work. If you would like to help and can spare an hour or two, please e-mail Ms. Hodapp for more details.

Help DeLaSalle work towards a clean, greener future! Meetings are every Tuesday, starting this Tuesday, Sept. 8. This is a great opportunity for Christian service hours and helping the environment. Join us from 3:05-4:00pm in B311 (Ms. Williams-Freier’s room).

You can support the boys’ soccer program by eating at the Chipotle on East Hennepin (by DeLaSalle) tonight from 3:30-7:30pm. Mention that you are supporting DeLaSalle and the restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds from Friday’s sales. Then, come to the Island to support the varsity football team as we host Park Center at 7:00pm.

If you plan to attend tonight’s home football game, please remember to bring your DeLaSalle student ID to earn free admission to the game. Admission prices for regular season home football games is $6 for adults, $4 for non-DLS students(K-12), and $4 for seniors. Again, home regular season games and events are free for DLS students with a current DeLaSalle student ID card.

Calling all cheerleaders – both present and future!! It’s that time again. Come try out to be part of one of the best competition cheer teams in Minnesota! Tryouts for our competition teams will take place tomorrow at 9:00am. There is one more tryout practice – today after school from 3:30-5:30pm in the Florance Center. Don’t worry if you’ve never cheered before, we will use the tryout practices to teach all skills that will be necessary for the tryouts! These are open to everyone, even those in a fall sport. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Coach Veronica. Hope to see you all there!

When the first bell rings, students are welcome to go in the First Come First Serve Line. Once the second bell rings, we will stop students from entering the line, and will start calling students to eat by grade levels. We want students to hold each other accountable, so please pick up after yourselves and remind your peers. Make sure to check the lunch line order which will be posted on the left hand side of B110 (the entrance for the lunch line). This order is not set in stone and will change.

  • 6th Period 11 – 10 – 9

Enjoy the fresh air during your lunch! Founders Park is now open, weather permitting. Remember to be mindful of our neighbors and classes near Founders Park. Please be sure to clean up after yourself and make time for composting your food/trash items. Also, remember that DeLaSalle is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave Founders Park.

Students may now register for the next driver’s education class, which will be taught by Ray Kroll ‘60 at DeLaSalle November 2-6, 9-13. Click here to download a registration form. You may return completed registration forms to the Administration Office. Registration forms are accepted until the class is filled. Classroom instruction costs $110 and behind-the-wheel instruction costs $330; students who register for both the class and behind-the-wheel instruction will pay $399.

The Critical Review program invites high students throughout the Twin Cities to see the whole season free and in addition learn the skills of a professional theatre critic and much more. Some show highlights this season are: The Little Mermaid; Beautiful — The Carole King Musical; Newsies; The Book of Mormon; and The Lion King.  Click here for more information.
