Parents are invited to our Back-to-School Night tomorrow at 6:00pm to meet their child’s academic mentor and teachers as they follow their child’s class schedule.

  • This event is typically well attended and we invite you to check in at Albers Atrium between 5:30-6:00pm. You may park in the school parking lots. Overflow pay parking is available in the St. Anthony Falls parking ramp at the corner of 2nd Ave. & 2nd St. SE. You may ride a free shuttle between the parking ramp and the school before and after the event.
  • To help your child’s academic mentor better understand your child and your family, please complete this Parent Mentor Survey. You may download the document to your personal computer. Click on the document link, then click on File, select “Download As”, and choose “Microsoft Word”. You may complete the form and either email it to your child’s academic mentor or print it and bring it with
you to the mentor meeting on Wednesday. Blank copies will also be available on Wednesday evening.

Students: If you are not involved in an after school activity on Wednesday, please, leave campus immediately after school so we can get the school ready for our guests.

Students, you will meet with your academic mentor after 1st period tomorrow to review your progress in the first days of school and to set goals for the year. Please bring course materials to work on when you are not meeting individually with your mentor.

Lasallian Ministry will meet for its first informational meeting on Thursday at 7:30am in the open side of the Robert Casanova Room (Br. David’s old classroom).   We would like everyone to attend this meeting, even if you are already involved in Lasallian Ministry as we will be sharing information on several new opportunities, projects and programs being offered this year through Lasallian Ministry. If you cannot make the morning meeting but are still interested in participating, please stop by the Lasallian Ministry office for more information.

Students may now register for the next driver’s education class, which will be taught by Ray Kroll ‘60 at DeLaSalle November 2-6, 9-13. Click here to download a registration form. You may return completed registration forms to the Administration Office. Registration forms are accepted until the class is filled. Classroom instruction costs $110 and behind-the-wheel instruction costs $330; students who register for both the class and behind-the-wheel instruction will pay $399.

Calling all cheerleaders – both present and future!! It’s that time again. Come try out to be part of one of the best competition cheer teams in Minnesota! Tryouts for our competition teams will take place on Saturday, September 5th with tryout practices leading up to it. Don’t worry if you’ve never cheered before, we will use the tryout practices to teach all skills that will be necessary for the tryouts! These are open to everyone, even those in a fall sport. Tryout practices are in the Florance Center:

  • Tuesday, September 1 from 5-6:30pm
  • Thursday, September 3 from 5-6:30pm
  • Friday, September 4 from 3:30-5:30pm

There will be a REQUIRED meeting TONIGHT at 6:30pm directly following practice.

Tryouts are Saturday, September 5 starting at 9am.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Coach Veronica. Hope to see you all there!

Auditions for the fall plays – “Where the Wild Things Are” and “The Once and Future King” = will be today and tomorrow from 3:15-5:30pm in the Band Room. You don’t need to come to both days, just choose which day you prefer. Call backs will be Thursday, as needed.

You don’t need to prepare, you’ll be auditioning with provided materials. All experience levels are encouraged to audition. We’re looking for performers of all kinds: dancers, singers, musicians.

A note on both shows: Where the Wild Things Are is a ensemble created show and will be created by the students cast. The production will be performed October 22-24 at the Phoenix Theatre in Uptown Minneapolis.

The Once and Future King, the story of King Arthur, will be in the round and involved stage combat. The performance is scheduled November 13-14 and 19-21.

Want to give back to one of our own community members?  If you are free immediately after school on Friday, please join us as we help Ms. McAdams with some yard work. If you would like to help and can spare an hour or two, please e-mail Ms. Hodapp for more details.

Attention Seniors!  Save your National History Day 2015 Website before September 1!

Weebly will delete all websites from the NHD Website Editor from last year on September 1. Students have two options if they want to save their websites:

This is not required – you only need to do this if you want to save the website you created last year for History Day.  Talk to Mr. Marrin or Ms. Hank if you have any questions.
