Friday, May 15, 2015 – Founder’s Day

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Dear God: Like St. John Baptist de La Salle, call us to a continual conversion of our minds and hearts so that You are the source of our longing and striving. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Email senior Francis Samuel with questions:

Would you please put in the Source that we will be going for the last time this year to Sharing and Caring Hands Wednesday May 20th.  Interested students should send Miss Barry an email.

The goal of the Giving Tree is to increase the greater good in the DeLaSalle and broader community through service. By volunteering at local service agencies or designing an original service project, students will learn the value of helping others, and as a result of that work, will be able to “pay it forward” by providing financial assistance to an anonymous DeLaSalle student in need.

WE Day 2015 will be Tuesday, November 3 and is a day full of speakers, performances, games, and networking all to celebrate community service. Thousands of high schools gather at the excel center for this event. Last years performers at WE Day Minnesota included the Jonas Brothers, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Fifth Harmony from America’s Got Talent. Some of the speakers included Martin Luther King III, Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, Debby Ryan, Molly Burke, and Spencer West.

If you are interested in becoming a Giving Tree scholar and getting a ticket to this day away from school to celebrate service next school year contact Mr. C.J. Hallman by Monday, June 1. Limited tickets available.
