Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

God, thank you for all You have done for me. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Only in Minnesota would we get some measurable snow within the first few days of spring. That being said, if you participate in one of these sports, heads up:

  • Girls’ golf will not be going to the range today. There is an optional practice in A106 to watch video.
  • Boys’ tennis is starting today! Meet in Room B205 for a team meeting.
  • Track will meet in the Florance Center.
  • Softball and baseball will be practicing in the gyms.
  • Boys’ golf practice is canceled

Any broken or damaged iPads should be turned into the LTC as soon as the damage occurs. If you have a damaged or broken iPad, you are REQUIRED to turn it into the LTC by Friday, March 27.

Students, please do not walk along the railroad tracks at any time. Even if you do not see a train coming, this is very unsafe to do, and it is actually considered trespassing and against the law. See Ms. Weeks with any questions.

Students, please remember that you must complete and return an Anticipated Absence form if you know you will be away from school (e.g. a doctor’s appointment, family vacation, etc.). The Student-Parent Handbook says the form must be approved by the Dean of Students or Assistant Principal and turned in to the Main Office prior to the absence. It is also your responsibility to work with teachers to make up any work you may miss.

The meeting during lunch periods today for NEW Starry Night Prom volunteers has been postponed. All students who would like to volunteer this year must attend a meeting Thursday – either before school starting at 7:30am or during your lunch period – again in the Robert Casanova Room. This year, Starry Night Prom is on Saturday, May 2.

Juniors are encouraged to register for an optional six-week class that will help prepare them for the June 13 ACT exam. The ACT Ready class builds test-taking skills through study guides and actual ACT tests. On average, students who complete all assignments increase their ACT scores by 3 to 5 composite points, translating to an overall 20% to 25% improvement in their national percentile rankings. Completed registration forms, along with the $150 registration fee, are due to Mrs. McAdams in the Guidance office no later than April 1. Please note that classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. See Mrs. McAdams with any questions.

Tell us what you think….We invite students and parents who participated in an activity this winter to complete this program evaluation and share your feedback about your activity experience. Thank you.

Normandale Community College will host a Latino Family Night on Tuesday, March 24 from 5 to 7pm in the Kopp Student Center. The night will help students who would be first generation to college and their parents gain a better understanding about the college and resources available to assist them including:

  • A panel of Latino Normandale students sharing their experiences at the college
  • Information about the MN Dream Act & FAFSA
  • Scholarships for undocumented students

The $20 application fee will be waived for anyone submitting and application for admission at the event.

We will gather in the Florance Center as a school community after 1st hour on Wednesday for a Lenten liturgy that includes prayer, reflection, and liturgical dance. Pastor Marchelle Hallman, mom of Lasallian Ministry associate CJ Hallman ’02, will join us as a guest.
