Friday, March 20, 2015 – No School

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

God, thank you for all You have done for me. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Classes are canceled today because of Parent-Student-Teacher conferences. Students, enjoy the 3-day weekend!

Any broken or damaged iPads should be turned into the LTC as soon as the damage occurs. If you have a damaged or broken iPad, you are REQUIRED to turn it into the LTC by Friday, March 27.

Students, please do not walk along the railroad tracks at any time. Even if you do not see a train coming, this is very unsafe to do, and it is actually considered trespassing and against the law. See Ms. Weeks with any questions.

All registration and payments are due today for students who will take Advanced Placement (AP) exams in May.

The Minnesota Department of Education recently notified DeLaSalle of a change in AP exam fees and subsidies, which brings the cost up $10 per test, changing the total cost to $43.00 per test.  DeLaSalle started the registration and payment process prior to this information becoming available.

If you have already paid for your test please send an additional $10 per test by today. Students who qualify for free of reduced lunch will continue to have a cost of $0 for each test.  A limited number of scholarships are still available.

NEW COST BREAK DOWN FOR AP TESTS:

  • 1 TEST- $43.00
  • 2 TESTS- $86.00
  • 3 TESTS- $129.00
  • 4 TESTS- $172.00
  • 5 TESTS- $215.00
  • 6 TESTS- $258.00

If you have questions please contact Stacey Carter at 612-676-7619

Juniors are encouraged to register for an optional six-week class that will help prepare them for the June 13 ACT exam. The ACT Ready class builds test-taking skills through study guides and actual ACT tests. On average, students who complete all assignments increase their ACT scores by 3 to 5 composite points, translating to an overall 20% to 25% improvement in their national percentile rankings. Completed registration forms, along with the $150 registration fee, are due to Mrs. McAdams in the Guidance office no later than April 1. Please note that classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. See Mrs. McAdams with any questions.
