We will follow this adjusted class schedule because of the Christmas Liturgy after 1st hour:

  • Period 4: 11:50-12:24
  • Period 5: 12:29-1:03
  • Period 6: 1:08-1:42

  • Period 8: 2:26-3:00

We will gather after first period today for our annual Christmas Liturgy and program in the Florance Center. Please move quickly and quietly with your first period class. Students who are participating as readers in the liturgy should report to the Florance Center by 8:00am for practice and check in. Band students will be dismissed at 8:50am to prepare for prayer.
Sign up this week for Robotics! All are welcome and at any level! Join us either today or tomorrow morning at 7:45am in B316. See Mr. Dirlam with any questions.
Come for an Hour of Coding after school today in the computer lab. Learn about coding/programming with Mr Pearson. We will use Python language to learn about computer programming. See or email Mr Pearson if you have any questions. We’ll also see how much interest there might be in a Coding Club at school. See you Thursday!
Come to the Lasallian Ministry meeting this week! But, you can sleep in a little Thursday because WE HAVE MOVED THE MEETING TO FRIDAY. Join us at 7:30am in the Robert Casanova Room to make Christmas cards for elderly shut-ins, decorate Christmas cookies, sip hot chocolate and participate in the yearly Christmas tradition of musical chairs. Please bring a store bought snack to share (e.g. Christmas cookies, fruit, candy, crackers, donuts, whatever you wish) All are welcome.

Anyone not participating in a winter sport or not in PE must clear out their gym locker by Friday. Lockers will be cleaned out and locks will be changed starting Monday. Thank you!
The Christmas Break is a great time to connect with an agency and complete some of your Christian Service Hours. Seniors, don’t forget that all of your Christian Service hours and paper are due by January 23, THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. You can find more information, including forms and ideas about where to volunteer, on the Christian Service webpage.
Islanders, show us your creativity! Enter a contest with a video honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and you could win an Apple iPad Mini. The contest is sponsored by the University of Minnesota’s Office for Equity and Diversity and the MLK Tribute Committee. The deadline to enter is December 31 at 11:59pm. Click here for more information. You can work on your own or with 4 other high school friends. Videos deemed acceptable will be posted online here by January 5 and you can watch and vote for the video you like. The winning videos will be announced and shown at the MLK Tribute Event on Thursday, January 22 at 7:30pm at the Ted Mann Concert Hall.
Volunteer serving the afternoon at Sharing & Caring Hands on Wednesday, December 17 from 2:30-4:15pm. Please e-mail Ms. Barry if you are interested. Remember, school gets out at 12:00pm on Wednesday because of final exams.
BeYOUtiful meets on Monday from 7:30-8:20am in the Lasallian Ministry office. All are welcome.
The Lord of the Rings Book Club is growing! Join us for our next meeting on Thursday, January 8. We will discuss The Two Towers, Book 4, Chapters 2-4. Have a nice cup of tea and enjoy this classic over break. See you in January!
