If you did not sign up but would still like to come, please let Ms. Hodapp in Lasallian Ministry know.
Come support the DeLaSalle Varsity and Junior Varsity Competition Cheer Teams as they host and compete at their very own DeLaSalle Winterfest Competition tomorrow at 10:30am in the Main Gym. The cost is $5 per person. See teams from Champlin Park, Edina, Jackson County Central and more jump, tumble, stunt, and dance their hearts out to win 1st place!\

This competition is a a fundraiser for the varsity cheer team to get to the National Competition in Florida in February (the competition will be broadcast on ESPN). Your support would mean the world!

The DeLaSalle Parent Association invites all parents to help wrap Christmas gifts Monday at 6:30pm. These are special Christmas gifts, that will be bought after school today by students with money raised as part of our annual Christmas Basket project. DeLaSalle will give to the gifts to families we have spiritually “adopted” through the Aliveness Project and Sponsor-A-Family Minnesota.

The Parent Association also will host a Parent Christmas Social in conjunction with the gift wrapping project, a chance for parents from all grade levels to meet each other and have oodles of holiday fun, while in support of a great cause.  Lots of treats and goodies will be provided.

Please note, for this month only, the Gift Wrapping and Parent Social will take place in the Brother Basil Rothweiler Room, the conference room located in the Admissions/Development/Lasallian Ministry office area in the Grove Street building.  Parents may park in front of school, but it’s suggested that they should drive around the block to reach the “Grove Street building.”  Parking is available -on Grove Street or in the small lot alongside the building.

Come Christmas caroling with Lasallian Ministry at Catholic Eldercare on Thursday, December 11 from 3:15-4:30pm. When we return, we will have dinner and a movie in the Lasallian Ministry office. Everything should be over by 7:00pm. Please e-mail Ms. Briars to sign up, or, stop by the Lasallian Ministry office.
We will gather as a school community Monday after first hour in the Florance Center for a Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. This is a day we commemorate Mary, the Blessed Mother of Jesus, who was conceived without original sin. Our celebrant for Mass is Fr. Jack Long from St. Stephen’s Parish in Anoka.
Many of you still have not picked up your school pictures yet. Please pick up your pictures as soon as possible from the Administration Office, which is on the 2nd floor between the A and B Buildings.

There will be a uniform inspection this week. All students are expected to be in compliance with our school uniform policy, if not, students will be issued Minor Violations. Please take time to review the Student Parent Handbook, and see Ms. Weeks with any questions.
Students please be sure to carefully sort all food, trash, and dishes from your lunch tray when composting. We have seen dishes and silverware items being placed in the compost and recycling bins. Carefully sorting only takes a minute and has numerous benefits for our school and larger community! Thank you in advance for your awareness and support for all GREEN initiatives!
From February 6-8, DeLaSalle students are invited to travel to Chicago for a weekend retreat focused on Social Justice and advocacy. If you are interested in participating, please stop by Lasallian Ministry for an information sheet. Applications and deposits for the trip will be due on Tuesday, December 16. Some scholarship money is available for those in need. Christian Service Hours are awarded.
