Cyber Dust and Yik Yak have been added to the non-approved school apps list. If this is downloaded on your device, you will receive restrictions and all of your personal apps will be deleted. A reminder that all messaging or photo sharing apps are restricted from your iPad.
Student Council will sell wristbands for $1 today and tomorrow during lunches, and for $2 before school on Wednesday morning. Please adhere to all out of uniform guidelines, in particular, remember that no hats or yoga style pants are permitted. Complete Out of Uniform Policy is located in the Student Parent Handbook.
The November meeting of the DeLaSalle Parent Association will take place tonight. Join us in the Robert Casanova Room at 6:30pm as we welcome Mr. Brad Casey, who will speak about the Global Advantage program and opportunities for students to experience international academic travel and exchanges.
Two workshops this week will help you get ready for this year’s musical, Babe in Arms. This a great way to prepare for musical auditions coming up in the first week of December. If you’ve never auditioned for a musical and are curious on what it’s all about, this is a perfect chance to try it out.

Today, there is a singing workshop from 3:00-6:00pm in the music room. Come in and get ready for the singing portion of the musical. And then, on Thursday, there is a dance workshop from 3:00-6:00pm in the Florance Center. Learn about the dances that will be part of the musical audition.

All students are welcome to participate – no previous musical experience necessary. Please RSVP to Mrs. Buffington if you are planning on attending.

The Islanders have made it to the state championship game in football. DeLaSalle plays Becker on Friday at 4:00pm at TCF Bank Stadium. Tickets cost $13 for adults and $9 for students.

Details will be released later today about ticket sales, fan buses, and other game-day logistics.

Congratulations to Erin McCarthy ’18, who earned 7th place in the final round Friday at the state tournament in the girls’ 500-yard freestyle and 14th place in the final round of the 200-yard freestyle event. Way to go on an outstanding season.
All boys’ basketball players who did not take the impact test this fall will be taking it on Tuesday at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Bus leaves DeLaSalle at 5:30pm and will return at approximately 8:30pm. Please plan on bringing something to eat as you will be able to eat prior to testing. Questions, talk with your basketball coach.
Congratulations to Islanders varsity boys’ soccer coach Adam Pribyl, who was named the 2014 parochial/private Coach of the Year by the Minnesota State High School Coaching Association.
Come learn about the college financial aid process from a veteran college admissions representative. This free presentation is Wednesday at 6:30pm in the Robert Casanova Room for students and parents regardless of what college or university you are considering. All are welcome. The speaker will cover financial aid for all colleges including:

  • What is the financial aid process;
  • FAFSA and other forms;
  • What should I/we be doing now;
  • Getting over sticker shock, and,
  • Scholarships

There’s still time to go to Costa Rica over spring break to learn about art and culture. If you are serious about going on the trip, please see Ms. Megan or Mr. Casey before Thanksgiving.
