Today we will gather for a celebration immediately following 1st period. All students and staff should move directly to the Florance Center for the program with a reminder that books, ipads, book bags, and other items should be left in your first period classroom. At our celebration event we will have several invited guests and performers. These people are here to share their talents with us as well as observe our awesome student body in action. Let’s show them our spirit of respect.
Classes are canceled on Wednesday because of the game. Teachers may be available for individual help and feedback about coursework; they will communicate their availability separately.
Tickets for the semifinal game cost $10 for adults and $7 for students. You may buy tickets at the stadium starting one hour prior to kickoff.
You may sign up for a fan bus here. Please sign up by 1:30pm tomorrow. The fan bus on Wednesday leaves from the front of DeLaSalle at 8:45am. If the Islanders win on Wednesday, they will play on Thursday at 9:30am in the championship game. Please let us know when you sign up for the fan bus if you would like to ride a fan bus on Thursday, if the Islanders make it to the final round.
Morning transportation routes (Minneapolis & St. Paul/suburban) will operate on a normal schedule on Wednesday morning for those students who plan to go to the game. Students are responsible for their own transportation home on Wednesday.
The Islander football team beat Park Center over the weekend 61-13 to advance to the section championship game on Halloween (Friday) at 7:00pm against #2 seed Benilde-St. Margaret’s here at DeLaSalle. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students.
