All college visits take place in the Guidance office, unless otherwise noted. Please get a pass from your teacher to meet with the college representative.

Good luck to the varsity boys’ soccer team – the Section 5A champions – as they compete in the first round of the state tournament on Thursday at 5:30pm at Chisago Lakes High School. The #1 seed Islanders face Mahtomedi.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students; ticket sales start one hour before kickoff.

Click here to sign up and ride a fan bus to the game. If you want to ride the bus, you must sign up by Wednesday at 4:00pm. The fan bus will leave from the front of DeLaSalle on Thursday at 3:30pm and will return to DeLaSalle immediately following the game. Chisago Lakes is about 45 minutes to an hour northeast of the Twin Cities.

You may dress in your Islander spirit wear on Thursday to support the team. That means anything black or gold, Islander athletic apparel or Hawaiian themed. Your appearance must follow the out of uniform guidelines in the Student-Parent Handbook.

Lasallian Ministry will host an Out of Uniform Day tomorrow. Any money we raise goes to help maintain excellent Lasallian Ministry and Diversity programming for our community. Just a reminder, too, that a portion of the proceeds from Out of Uniform days supports our twin school in Kenya.

Wristbands will be sold for $1 today during lunches or for $2 tomorrow morning before school. You MUST wear this wristband in order to come to school out of uniform. All uniform guidelines from the Student-Parent Handbook apply.

Our school chaplain, Fr. Brian Park, will offer Mass in the Chapel every Tuesday at 3:15pm. The first Tuesday Mass will happen TODAY. Everyone is welcome and invited to participate. The Chapel is on the floor above the Lasallian Ministry office.
How about getting everyone at your lunch table (or two) to pitch in a buck to give little one a lovable Lil Toy? Do it for the little kids who have so little. Bring items to Lasallian Ministry all month.
Juniors, please watch your Student Apps email for an invitation to junior lunches with Mr. Lieske and Mr. Benson. Junior lunches begin tomorrow. The lunches give you a chance to share your opinion about important issues at DeLaSalle.
Juniors and parents are invited to a college planning night tomorrow at 6:30pm in the Robert Casanova Room. This presentation will help 11th grade students and families identify important resources in the college planning process, including application deadlines, financial aid, and more. Students and families in other grades are also welcome.
Volunteer on Wednesday after school to serve the afternoon meal at Sharing & Caring Hands. Email Ms. Barry if you are interested.
All students interested in being on this year’s Math League team, please attend an informational meeting in Mr. Newman’s room, B307, tomorrow at 3:15pm. If you are interested in Math League but cannot attend the meeting, please see Mr. Newman before the meeting.
Game Day is back this week with Lasallian Ministry! Bring your friends over during lunches on Thursday and enjoy a day of fun in the Lasallian Ministry office!
All students interested in playing girls’ basketball this winter should attend an informational meeting and sign up on Thursday during all lunches in the Robert Casanova room.
Our 17th annual Diversity Week is next week. On Monday, we kick off the week with a celebration of cultures and talents, and on Friday, performer Dr. Mykee Fowlin delivers a stirring piece called “I am not the Enemy.” Other highlights of the week include classroom presentations by Exposed Brick Theatre and our Annual Arts and Treats on Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00pm.
Help is needed to decorate the school for Diversity Week on Thursday, October 23 after school.  Please e-mail Ms. Briars if you would like to help. Christian Service Hours will be awarded.
Volleyball and football section playoffs start this week. We will host both section tournaments and everyone must pay admission, this includes all De students. Please be prepared to pay once you arrive to the game. Our volleyball team earned the #2 seed and will play #7 seed Blake on Thursday at 7:00pm in the Main Gym. Our football team earned the #1 seed and has a bye in the first round tomorrow. Football plays Saturday at 7:00pm.

Volleyball admission prices are $7 for adults, $5 for students. Football admission prices are $8 for adults and $6 for students.

Good luck to all cross country athletes as they compete in sectionals on Wednesday at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista. The girls meet is at 3:45pm; the boys meet is at 4:20pm.
Thank you for your generosity at the DeLaSalle Tackle Cancer night on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Collectively, we raised $500 that evening.
