All college visits take place in the Guidance office, unless otherwise noted. Please get a pass from your teacher to meet with the college representative.

Juniors, you will gather as a class for a retreat today. This is a full day event where you have the opportunity to meet with your classmates, build class unity and share. Here are some details regarding your retreat:

  • Attendance is mandatory. If you miss a retreat day, you are required to make up your absence through the guidance of Lasallian Ministry
  • You must be in uniform on retreat day.
  • Bring a bag lunch, one beverage will be provided.
  • All books, bags, headphones, cell phones, iPads, etc. must be left at home or school. These items are not allowed on retreat.
  • The retreat will run during the school day only. You will check in to first hour for attendance and will move to the Albers Atrium to board buses, which will bring you to the retreat site.
  • Please come with an open and positive attitude and you will have fun.
  • See Ms. Hodapp in Lasallian Ministry with any questions or concerns.

All seniors and parents are invited to learn more about the college application process during Senior College Planning Night TONIGHT from 6:30-8:00pm in the Robert Casanova Room. Join us for an evening that will get you, and those helping you with your post high school plans, moving in a direction that will be helpful for all involved. Your counselors will be give a presentation and have time for questions and answers. It will be informative and fun. All are welcome!
DeLaSalle will host two events to raise money toward cancer research and fight a disease that has affected many within our families and personal lives.

  • The volleyball program will host a “Dig Pink” night TOMORROW to support cancer research when the Islanders host the Columbia Heights Hylanders. There will be various ways to donate on this night; we hope to see you there.
  • The DeLaSalle football team will host “Tackle Cancer” Night at its last regular season home game on Wednesday, October 15 at 7:00pm. We as Islanders will join the effort of both the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and the Randy Shaver Cancer Foundation. Come support the Islanders and have a chance to participate either through a half-time contest or donation at the gate when you enter.

Come learn about the upcoming girls’ hockey season. Interested players and parents are invited to a brief meeting TONIGHT at 8:00pm in the Campus Room on the north campus of Minnehaha Academy. Meet the coaches, meet new players and their families, learn about the upcoming schedule (including captains practices and tryouts), write checks for captains’ practices, Q & A
Three instructors will provide fall ice instruction at Minnehaha several times in October. Instruction is scheduled Monday through Thursday with captains running instruction on Fridays. Instruction times are from 5:00-6:00pm the weeks of October 13 and October 20 and from 5:30-6:30pm the weeks of October 27 and November 3. There is a cost associated with the instruction. Contact head coach Pat Griswold for more information.
TODAY is the deadline to submit a short play, story, poem or idea for the 9th grade show. Any current De student may enter. You can find the rules on the DeLaSalle Theatre page and on the Call Board right outside the Main Gym. Email James Buffington with submissions and/or any questions.
DeLaSalle Theatre is hosting a information meeting for all parents and De theater enthusiasts to kick off the new season. We’ll meet on stage in the Florance Center tomorrow at 6:00pm. You’ll learn more about this year’s student theater opportunities, meet the artistic staff, and find out how you can take part in the many parent-supported theatre activities throughout the year. Join the fun in Lasallian Ministry during Lasallian Game Day during lunch TOMORROW! Bring your lunch, come hang out with your friends and play a few games. Bring your own game or we’ll have some to play. See you Thursday!

BeYOUtiful meets on Monday from 7:30-8:20am in the Lasallian Ministry office. All are welcome.
Boston University will host a reception in Minneapolis for high school juniors and seniors and their families. The reception happens Monday, October 6 at 6:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis (1300 Nicollet Mall). This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about BU and the college application process.  Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
All students must display a valid parking permit in their vehicle in order to park in the school parking lot. Vehicles without valid parking permits may be ticketed and/or towed. No more parking permits will be sold.
If you have a negative lunch account balance of $5, you will not be able to buy food in the DeLaSalle Cafe starting on Monday, October 13. Instead you will receive a bag lunch with a sandwich, an apple, a bag of carrots and milk. You or your parents/guardians may put money into your cafeteria account by depositing cash or a check in the Main Office. Families may also deposit money electronically into cafeteria accounts.
