All DeLaSalle students have an opportunity
to be ambassadors for DLS and serve the student body by participating
in Student Council. Council members organize and produce Homecoming
Week, school dances, festival events, fundraisers, and spirit days.
Elections for Student Body Officers and 10th, 11th, and 12th grade
Class Officers take place in the spring of each school year.
Elections of 9th Class Officers and Representatives for all grades
happen early in September of the new school year.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE 2009 - 2010
SCHOOL YEAR
Student Body President: David Skodjie
shall call and preside over meetings of the General Assembly; is an
unofficial member of all committees, represents students and their
interests at the DLS Board of Directors meetings.
Student Body Vice-President: Ellen Hamel
shall aid the President, Moderators, and committee chairs; an unofficial
member of all committees; work with the President in preparing of
an agenda for all meetings; may represent the President at school
functions.
Student Body Secretary: Linda Thao
takes member attendance at Student Council meetings; shall take minutes
during meetings; distributes to all Student Council members the minutes
of the previous meeting and agenda for the present meeting; maintains
the master log of all Student Council activity.
Student Body Treasurer: Lourdes Vivar
works with the DLS Business Office to prepare ledger reports for each
Student Council meeting; presents reports each meeting.
Student Body Public Relations: Annette Betting-Fuentes
oversees the creation of all Student Council announcements and advertising
made via posters, Daily Bulletin, web site, and verbal announcements.

attends all Student Council meetings, organizes his or her class’
dance and appoints others to assist, reports the concerns and ideas
of classmates.
Class Vice-President
2010 = Robin Purman
2011 = Adrienne Sherman
2012 = Jack Duffy
assists the Class President with his or her duties, attends all Student
Council meetings, reports concerns and ideas of classmates.
9th Grade Representatives
A major duty of the 9th grade representatives is to help classmates
become acquainted and begin to build the class spirit. 9th graders
plan the Sweethearts Dance held in February and one Out-of-Uniform
Day.
10th Grade Representatives
are in a charge of the Farewell Dance and one Out-of-Uniform Day.
11th Grade Representatives
produce the Sadie Hawkins Dance and one Out-of-Uniform Day.
12th Grade Representatives:
The mission of Representatives of the senior class is to unite and
support class members as they finish their high school career. 12th
graders are in charge of the Homecoming Dance and one Out-of-Uniform
Day. Senior Class Officers and Representatives are responsible for
disbursing, before graduation, any and all money in their class fund.
A subcommittee of the Student Council is responsible for planning
and producing the Junior / Senior Prom held in the spring of the school
year.
